Seeking Experienced Beekeepers

cropped-th

The Certified Master Beekeeping Program for Missouri is looking for experienced beekeepers to serve as mentors for those individuals that are just starting the program. Individuals will be compensated in one of two ways. Either by volunteer hours towards certification or by acting as a paid independent contractor to the University. We pay a set wage plus mileage for each class taught in the classroom or at our apiaries. There are currently 3 locations in Missouri with University of Missouri run apiaries, they are in Portageville, Missouri, Mt. Vernon, MO and Jefferson Farms. These locations are almost at full capacity for beekeeper instructions BUT we will need more for next year.

So, if you are interested in obtaining your certification, want to earn a little cash, or just want experience with teaching, please contact me at your earliest convenience. We’ll put you on the list 🙂

Cheers,

Dr. Moneen Jones
